The Power of a Good Attitude

C.C. Scott, a writer and reporter, once wrote, “The human spirit is stronger than anything that can happen to it.” And he was right. In life, we will all experience the same rollercoaster ride, with unexpected turns and sometimes thrilling twists, but it’s our attitude as we venture through it that will determine if we enjoy the ride or not. Our spirit is stronger than our tribulations, and it’s a good attitude that will find joy and excitement in the ride, instead of dismay or disappointment. That being said, here are some inspirational quotes on having a good attitude and approaching life with positivity. Please enjoy the quotes and be blessed by the day!

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.” ~Charles R. Swindoll

“Our attitude toward life determines life's attitude towards us.” ~John N. Mitchell

“When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.” ~Peter Marshall

“He who has so little knowledge of human nature as to seek happiness by changing anything but his own disposition will waste his life in fruitless efforts.” ~Samuel Johnson

“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.” ~Buddha

“I don't think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains.” ~Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl

“Say you are well, or all is well with you, and God shall hear your words and make them true.” ~Ella Wheeler Wilcox

“The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes.” ~William James

“We awaken in others the same attitude of mind we hold toward them.” ~Elbert Hubbard

“Look at everything as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time.” ~Betty Smith

“The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function. One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless and yet be determined to make them otherwise.” ~F. Scott Fitzgerald
